Rihanna is known for being a trendsetter, but it appears she's following a trend in music: tour date cancellations.
Following in the footsteps of the American Idol Tour and other acts like the Jonas Brothers, she has cancelled tour dates in Denver and Indianapolis.
How is this a surprise?
I live for concerts and even I can't afford going to see my favorite acts, because the prices are ridiculous in this economy. How about musicians not spend millions on ridiculous, over the top stage designs, and do some stripped down shows? I realize for an artist like Rihanna, whose power is in the presentation more than the voice chops alone, that this is tough, but a thirty dollar ticket sounds much better than a hundred dollar one.
